Hi, I'm a writer, editor, and journalist living between Philadelphia and Manila.I worked as a reporter in Philadelphia for more than a decade, most recently as an investigative reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer focused on workers' rights.I'm getting my MFA in creative writing at Randolph College and my work has been supported by Lambda Literary and the Leeway Foundation.My longform journalism has been featured on Longform.org, The Sunday Long Read, and the Ann Friedman Weekly. My reporting at the Philadelphia Inquirer has won awards from the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, the Asian American Journalists Association, the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association, and others.In Philly, I perform with URIOL, a Korean drumming group, and organize a Filipino potluck. I served on the board of the Asian American Journalists Association, in both local and national positions, for a decade. I'm also a prolific letter writer.
